BREAKING NEWS: Another Gulf Rig explosion

GasBuddy Blog -- 2pm UPDATE: Louisiana Gov: A sheen has been reported, but Mariner energy reports all 7 wells are shut in permanently- something that hasn't been confirmed. They believe that storage of oil on board was burning. Mariner says the fire is nearly burned out and contained. STAY TUNED.

Breaking news this noon from the Gulf of Mexico off the Louisiana Coast. The best news- all workers are accounted for.

If the police had 2 homicides in the same place, in the same year, they might say they could be connected in some way, and would deem an investigation is needed to clarify who was involved in one or both, just to be on the safe side.

However, most do not force the workers to jump into the sea, as this one did.

Oil rig workers are usually paid quite well just because their work is considered hazardous.
